Brooks Laich he found his last fitness friend – and sidekick – and girlfriend Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir.
Laich is divided Julianne Hough in May 2020 after almost three years of marriage. A few months later, he sparked romance speculation with Davíðsdóttir after “liking” several of her Instagram photos. While Hough filed for divorce in November 2020, it wasn’t until the summer of 2021 that Laich went public with his relationship with Davíðsdóttir.
After watching Davíðsdóttir compete at the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin, Laich sang her praises. “You continue to inspire and amaze, and it was such a joy to watch you in your place last night!” he wrote on Instagram in August 2021, to which the Icelandic athlete replied, “Thank you for your great support and always.”

Two years later, Laich again supported Davíðsdóttir when she competed in the CrossFit Games. “One of my favorite things about @katrintanja is that she will fight to the end, and support her to the end!” the retired NHL player wrote on Instagram in August 2023.
“You’re so much better than me ☺️❤️🫶🏼✨ Thank you for being with me on this journey and supporting me through everything—making everything SO much BETTER,” Davíðsdóttir replied in the comments.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Laich started “liking” Davíðsdóttir’s Instagram photos.

Laich publicly showed support for Davíðsdóttir for the first time via Instagram, writing, “Day 1 of the @nobull @crossfitgames is over. We are proud of the way this girl competed today! #SledDog🇮🇸.” The two were seen sharing a kiss in a video streamed live from the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin.

The couple sparked wedding speculation after taking a trip to Iceland on Valentine’s Day. “You are a shining example of kindness, goodness, kindness, and above all—love. Thank you for being you, today and every day ahead – ég elska þig!” Laich posted on Instagram with pictures of their trip to the Blue Lagoon.

Davíðsdóttir sang her boyfriend’s praises in honor of his 39th year orbiting the sun. “I love to prove that it is you, my love ❤️☀️. It might be my favorite thing in the world to hear moments when you’re just happy ✨,” he captioned the funny video of the former hockey player.

Laich celebrated his girlfriend on her 30th birthday. “Your smile is my favorite thing about you and you are a ray of sunshine wherever you go in this world, and to everyone you meet!” he wrote in his Instagram post. “I wish you all the happiness, health, success, peace, and love this life has to offer – and may this new decade bring you more happiness than ever before! Me, Theo, and Koda thank you for the way you show up in our lives, and the endless love you give us!”

The two went on a safari in Africa to celebrate their 30th and 40th birthdays. “Loved my time with @katrintanja while on this safari at @taasalodge! He knows it’s my favorite pastime in the world, and after a few days here I’m sure it will be his too!” Laich wrote alongside a few photos of him and Davíðsdóttir cozying up on the trip.
Later that month, Laich served as one of them Derek Hough‘s groomsmen at his wedding Hayley Erbert where he reunited with ex-wife Julianne, who was a bridesmaid. Laich and Davíðsdóttir made it to the moon at Laich’s lake house in Idaho.
