Courtesy of Dr. Will KirbyBig Brother season 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby is officially stepping down from her role as host of the jury roundtable show on the CBS reality show.
The 51-year-old doctor, who has been in charge of part of the game’s table since 2013, confirmed the news of his exit on Wednesday, September 18.
“I can assure you that I will not work as a player Big Brother The team that will host the team this season,” said Kirby The Parade in the statement. “It’s time to stop the harsh words. The run I had on the show, first as a contestant and then as a host, is unheard of but nothing lasts forever; I’m ready to pass the baton on reality TV!”
The reality star first entered the business in 2001, beating out 11 fellow contestants in 82 days to be crowned the series’ second crown. Nicole Schaffrich it was second that season. He also came back for Big Brother: All Stars in 2006 he came fourth.
It’s hard to win Big Brother without some sort of alliance – but it’s even harder when you’re part of the show. Kirby kept in touch with him Big Brother, he started his jury tablet hosting gig in 2013 during the show’s 15th season – a role he held again and again until 2023’s 25th season. In the segment, his fellow castaways discuss who they believe deserves to win the game. The video is shown at the last time.
Specially speaking Us Weekly in 2020, Kirby admitted that these conversations can be done emotionally.
“All judges have an element of anger. And why would we expect anything else?” he said. “You’d be miserable if you lost half a million dollars. But the good guy always wins. He did anything to get more keys out of the box on the last night!”
In the same interview Kirby was asked if he believed he was the best player to ever play Big Brother.
“Please allow me to answer your question with my own question: What other cast member of an unscripted television show is still working nearly twenty years after its first appearance?” he responded. “I laid the foundation for the anti-hero game that fans enjoy today, I was a builder of alliances, and well integrated in all aspects of strategic gameplay.”
He added, “Besides, I’ve provided pure entertainment covered in the shell of comedy.” On top of all that, I literally coined the word “showmance.” So, yes, without a doubt, I’m the best I’ve ever played.”
There has been no announcement from CBS about who will fill the position left open by Kirby’s departure.
