Beyonce’s BeyGood Foundation Donates $2.5 Million to LA Fire Relief

Beyoncé shows his support for the people affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.

The BeyGood star’s foundation shared via Instagram on Sunday, January 12, that it is making a $2.5 million donation to the newly established LA Fire Relief Fund.

“Los Angeles we stand with you. 🫶🏽,” the post began.

“This fund is intended to assist families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who have lost their homes, as well as churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires,” the nonprofit said.

“To show your support for the affected families and learn more about BeyGOOD’s work, please visit the attached post.

Last week, Jamie Lee Curtis pledged $1 million to relief efforts.

“My family is donating $1 million today to relief efforts,” Curtis, 66, shared in a post Thursday, January 9, on Instagram. “We are communicating with the Governor [Gavin] NewsomMayor [Karen] Bassand the Senator [Adam] Schiff and I will write more often about where to send the necessary services to reputable agencies.”

Curtis shared a similar message in the caption of the post, writing: “My husband and I and our children have pledged $1 million to our Family Foundation to start a fund to support our great city and county and the great people who live and love it. ” (Curtis shares with daughters Annie,34, and Ruby25, with her husband, Christopher Guest.)

Curtis’ donation comes one day after he was touched by the spirit discussing the wildfires during an appearance The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I’m literally about to cry,” he said at the start of his interview on Wednesday, January 8.

“As you know, the place where I live is burning right now. In fact, the entire city of Pacific Palisades is burning,” he continued. “I flew here last night. I was on the plane, I started getting texts and it was f—ing gnarly, you guys. It’s just a disaster in Southern California. Apparently, there were terrible fires in many places [but] this is where I literally live.”
