Bank of America More Rewards Day (Nov. 7): Earn bonus rewards with purchases
Bank of America offers a large portfolio of cards. Others carry the Bank of America branding in their names, such as Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards credit card as well as Bank of America® Premium Rewards® credit card. Others, such as Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit cardcobranded cards offered by Bank of America. Regardless of which Bank of America card (or cards) you have, you should know about Nov. 7 Another Prize Day.
Bank of America credit cards — including those that don’t normally earn rewards — earn extra rewards on Extra Rewards Day (Nov. 7) between midnight and 11:59 pm EST. Specifically, you will benefit from the following purchases made with your card in Nov. 7 Another Prize Day:
- Cash back credit cards: Earn an additional 2% cashback on your first $2,500 purchase.
- Rewards credit cards earn points or miles: Earn 2 additional points or miles per dollar spent on the first $2,500 in purchases.
- Credit cards that don’t earn rewards: Get 2% cash back as a statement credit on the first $2,500 in purchases.

You don’t need to register to enjoy these bonus benefits, on top of the rewards you’ve already received for your purchases. $2,500 purchase limit for bonus earnings Nov. 7 Another Prize Day for “each unique account or each unique small business company,” according to a press release.
For example, let’s say you have Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card. If so, you typically earn 3 miles per dollar spent on eligible Alaska Airlines purchases; 2 miles per dollar spent on qualifying gas, electric vehicle charging station, cable, streaming services and local purchases; and 1 mile per dollar spent on all other purchases.
However, with purchases of up to $2,500 on Extra Rewards Day (Nov. 7), you’ll earn 5 miles per dollar spent on qualifying Alaska Airlines purchases, 4 miles per dollar spent on qualifying gas, EV charging station, cable, utilities of live streaming. and local shopping; and 3 miles per dollar spent on all other purchases.

If you’re part of the Bank of America Preferred Rewards® program, you’ll earn your Preferred Rewards bonus on the purchase price as usual. However, you will not earn a Preferred Rewards bonus on incremental earnings with this promotion.

According to the Bank of America More Rewards Day website, all Bank of America consumer and small business cards should be eligible, but you’ll need to keep your account open and active when the extra rewards arrive in your account. The Frequently Asked Questions section of the Extra Rewards Day website notes that it may take up to two billing cycles after the promotional offer ends for you to see the extra rewards in your account.
Finally, purchases that only post to your account and appear on your statement with a transaction date of Nov. 7 will be appropriate. So, keep this in mind if you’re buying things that the seller won’t charge you for on the same day. For example, some online retailers don’t charge you until they ship your purchase.

Bottom line
You may have a Bank of America card or it may say Bank of America on the front. So, check the cards in your wallet and consider whether there’s a big purchase you want to make or some holiday shopping you want to do during One of the 7 Rewards Days.

You’ll earn 2% cash back or 2 more points or miles per dollar spent on purchases up to $2,500 when you use a consumer or small business Bank of America credit card on November 7th Another Rewards Day. But, depending on what other cards you have in your wallet and whether you’re working toward any minimum spending requirements, you may still be better off using a separate rewards credit card for your purchases.
