Announcing the First Battlefield 200 at Disrupt 2024

TechCrunch Disrupt 2024, taking place from October 28-30 at Moscone West in San Francisco, is fast approaching. Today we are excited to announce the 200 startups selected to participate in this year’s Startup Battlefield 200 (SB 200) cohort.

TechCrunch’s editorial staff has read, tested and debated thousands of applications. Narrowing the group down to 200 companies was a challenge, but we are very happy with the results. Continuing the process of exploration reminds us, but again, how much creativity, innovation and talent exists within the original community. It never fails to surprise and inspire us. We know you’ll feel the same way after reading the Startup Battlefield 200 list.

From all over the world, these 200 companies represent innovation that occurs in the following categories:

• SaaS, business and productivity
• Healthtech and biotech
• Hardware, robotics and IoT
• Fintech and edtech
• Security, privacy and social networking sites
• Sustainability, mobility and organization

Each startup receives a free, VIP experience that includes master classes on building and launching a startup, a deck breakdown, a select reception, access to investors and international media, and more. Only early stage startups are allowed to show at Disrupt 2024, and you’ll find them on the expo floor during the show.

SB 200 companies join an outstanding community of over 1,300 Startup Battlefield alumni, including Cloudflare, Dropbox, Getaround and Discord.

And what is TechCrunch Disrupt without a Startup Battlefield stage competition?

Out of 200 companies, 20 were selected to pitch on the Disrupt stage in front of thousands of attendees for a chance to win an equity prize of $100,000 and the Disrupt Cup. We will announce these 20 companies on the first day of the conference. Another 180 will perform on the Pitch Showcase Stage in the Expo Hall. Both of these can’t miss events.
