Angelina Jolie dropped the FBI charges after a 2-year battle with the agency over Brad Pitt’s 2016 plane crash.

Angelina Jolie ended her legal battle Thursday against the Justice Department after she filed a request for more information about the agency’s investigation into an alleged assault between Jolie and ex-husband Brad Pitt on a transatlantic flight in 2016.

Jolie, 49, filed a motion to dismiss the action with prejudice on Sept. 25 “at each party’s own costs and expenses,” according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital. The judge signed the order the next day.

The “Maria” actress filed a lawsuit against the FBI in April 2022, nearly six years after the bureau launched an investigation into an alleged 2016 altercation involving Pitt, now 60, Jolie and their children, which took place on a private flight from France to. Los Angeles.

The investigation was closed after two months without charges against Pitt, and she filed for divorce days later.

Jolie filed a “Jane Doe” lawsuit, and citing the Freedom of Information Act, requested information about the investigation, in an effort to “protect children from the family law system.”

He said “the information withheld by the DOJ and the FBI contained evidence of harm,” and that his refusal to produce the information “continues to hinder, his efforts to get his children needed ongoing care and treatment, and has further harmed the children in the family law system,” according to the documents.

During a fight in 2016, Pitt allegedly “choked one of the children and punched another in the face” and then “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her.” He then poured “beer and red wine” for her and their six children.

“Some of the children begged Pitt to stop,” according to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. “They were all scared. Many were crying.”

Jolie’s representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Despite filing for divorce in 2016 and a judge declaring the former couple legally unmarried in 2019, the actor of “Already … In Hollywood” and Jolie could not resolve several legal issues.

Pitt was awarded 50/50 custody of the couple’s children in 2021, but Jolie fought the decision. It is not clear where the couple stand regarding child custody at this time. The twins, Vivienne and Knox, are the only remaining children under the age of 18.

Jolie and Pitt have been locked in a legal dispute over the French estate they bought together in 2008, Château Miraval.

The former couple bought a control pole Château Miraval in 2008 and spent time at home throughout their relationship. Jolie attempted to sell her company, Nouvel, to Tenute Del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli Group, in 2021, effectively transferring her 50% ownership interest to Miraval. Pitt contested the sale, saying the move violated the agreement between the two.

Meanwhile, Jolie’s company says Pitt has masterminded a “revenge campaign” to “loot” the profitable business since she first filed for divorce in 2016.
