Joseph Parker’s trainer, Andy Lee, was trying to put doubt in the mind of Daniel Dubois before defending his IBF Heart heavyweight title in their February 22nd fight in Riyadh.
Lee reminded Dubois (22-2, 21 KOS) that he was stopped by a jab from Oleksandr Usyk in the ninth round of their fight two years ago on August 26, 2023, in Wroclaw, Poland. Andy feels that if Dubois stops once in that fashion, he will “Reset typing” When put in the same situation of high pressure against Parker (35-3, 23 Kos).
Dubois did not explain why he came down from the jab with Usyk and failed to go back. Daniel could only know disdain In saying that the former champion of Lee lee could have quit under those conditions during that career, but he won’t.
It would be a disaster for Dubois if he stops resisting Parker because this is a fight that is successful for him. Although WBO Champion Parker has followed up several victories recently after fights against 41-year-old Zhilei Zhang and 39-year-old Denantay Wilder, he remains vulnerable.

Lee: “Ha-ha-ha.”
Dubois: “I’ve seen your work. I’ve seen you fight. You probably will, but not me.”
Lee: “All the doubts people ever had about Daniel, he proved them wrong. He established them clean, and we enter with a very good fighter. I can say the best of Tom’s fights in the world. So, when Joe wins, we will take all the credit.”
