Authorities in Pennsylvania have identified a suspect who fled the scene of a car crash as an illegal immigrant.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed to Fox News Digital that Saul Rivera-Ramirez, 25, was an illegal immigrant who had previously been deported.
“ERO Philadelphia can confirm that Saul Ramirez-Rivera is not an illegal citizen of the United States. Ramirez-Rivera was removed from the United States and re-entered illegally, without authorization or parole by an immigration official,” an ERO spokesperson said. said the statement.
“Following his arrest, ERO Philadelphia booked the Immigration Detainer into the Allegheny County Jail. ERO Philadelphia expects that the ACJ will not honor the immigration detainer given its current policies,” the statement continued.

The Allegheny County Police Department announced that Rivera-Ramirez has been arrested and taken into custody for the fatal crash that killed 23-year-old Christian Sluka.
The accident happened Saturday night, just before 11 p.m., when 911 was notified of a car that had hit a motorcycle.
Officials say Rivera-Ramirez was driving a red Ford Taurus and was on foot with a woman and a young child after the crash.
Ramirez-Rivera faces multiple charges, including vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license.

“Christian was a selfless, hardworking, and talented person, and his community and family will be forever changed without him,” the post continued.
