American Airlines passengers are taping a man who allegedly tried to open the cabin door mid-flight

Passengers on an American Airlines flight to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas restrained a man holding a Canadian passport with duct tape Tuesday after he allegedly tried to open a cabin door mid-air, according to reports.
FOX 4 KDFW reported that an employee on the flight from Milwaukee told police the man stood up mid-flight and told her he “needs to get off the plane immediately.”
It is reported that the man became very angry and spoke loudly before rushing the 79-year-old woman who works on the plane to reach the door of the room.
Three passengers then rushed to help the flight attendant when they tried to squeeze the man. Using duct tape, they were able to block the man’s legs and wrists.

The plane arrived at its destination just after 10 a.m., when airport police and the FBI boarded the plane.

When they entered the house, one of the passengers was still kneeling on the disturbing passenger to prevent him from escaping. He was taken off the plane in a wheelchair.

It is said that the flight attendant received injuries to his wrist and neck in the dispute and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
“The safety and security of our customers and crew members is our top priority, and we thank our crew members and customers for handling the difficult situation,” American Airlines told Fox News Digital.

The airline added that duct tape is included in the in-flight kit as a safety measure during high security or security situations.
