Ali Wong Enters 2025 Golden Globes Without Bill Hader
Ali Wong attended the 2025 Golden Globe Awards outside Bill Hader.
The actress, 42, walked the red carpet solo before the awards show on Sunday, January 5, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Wong was first linked to Hader in 2022 following her split from Hakuta, 43. Wong and Hader split briefly later that year, but Us Weekly confirmed in April 2023 that they are back together.
In Wong’s comedy special for the Golden Globes, he opened up about the origins of his relationship with Hader.
“Hey, Ali, I just heard the news of your divorce today, and I have to tell you … I’m happy,” Hader recalled telling her on the phone after she got her number from a mutual friend. “I am, Ali, because look, I’ve loved you forever, and I actually told my best friend years ago that you were my dream girl. And I know this sounds crazy, but, uh, I want you to be my girlfriend.”
Wong revealed that Hader then sent her flowers in many cities during her European tour, which her female friends thought were “very nice.” However, her male friends warned her that Hader could be a “psychopath.”
“They are cheap and so are lazy men,” Wong quipped. That now when another person does any act of kindness, any act of love, it must be a sign of an undiagnosed mental illness.”
