Alex Soros, George’s son, meets Tim Walz for a meeting in a New York City apartment

Alex Soros, the son of a billionaire George Sorosmet with Democratic Alliance vice president Tim Walz and welcomed him to his apartment in New York City.

“Honored to welcome Governor Tim Walz to my home in New York City!” Soros wrote in the X post on Tuesday.

Soros, 38, has been active in politics since taking over from his father, donating millions to political committees aimed at helping Democrats win elections and expanding various leftist efforts.

Alex’s social media profiles have dozens of photos of him also leading the House and Senate Democrats since 2018.

The two most visible Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi of California.

A few weeks ago, he shared a photo with Vice President Kamala Harris, writing, “It’s great that I recently met the Vice President of Madame, [Kamala Harris]!”

Alex has also donated millions to Democrats over the past few years, though far less than his father. Since the 2018 election, Alex has put more than five million dollars into the political fund. Records show his largest donation was $2 million to a PAC affiliated with the Schumer Senate Majority PAC during this period.

Alex pumped more than $700,000 into the Biden Victory Fund in 2020, ranking him among its top donors.

He gave away hundreds of thousands in extra money Nancy Pelosi Victory FundThe Democratic National Committee and the Democratic DRM Campaign Committee (DCCC). He also gave tens of thousands more to Democratic Party groups and individual campaigns, many of which were large contributions.

It is unclear how much Alex contributed to the Harris-Walz campaign.
