Aer Lingus announces new Nashville-Dublin flights

Music City and the Emerald Isle are just around the corner.

Aer Lingus will launch a new route from Dublin Airport (DUB) to Nashville International Airport (BNA), the airline and BNA announced on Friday. Service begins on April 12, 2025, with four weekly flights in each direction.

Flight EI76 will depart Nashville at 6:40 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, arriving in Dublin the next morning at 8:50 am Westbound flight EI77 will depart Dublin at 2:05 pm and arrive in Nashville at. 5:10, and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. All route times are local.

The Irish flag carrier plans to fly its new aircraft, the Airbus A321XLR, on the route. The A321XLR is the longest version of the A320neo family and was recently certified by the European aviation regulator this summer. Airbus aims to deliver the first customers of the new jet in the second half of October.

Although Aer Lingus was originally intended to be the launch customer, the initial delivery was shifted to sister airline Iberia by International Airlines Group, the airlines’ parent group. Iberia plans to launch a flight between Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) as soon as November 14, although, at the time of that announcement, the delivery of the flight was planned a few weeks earlier. delay until mid or late October.

Aer Lingus has not published its A321XLR seat map yet, although it will be similar to the slightly shorter A321LR the airline currently flies. Those jets have 16 lie-flat business class seats in a stunning 2-2 and 1-1 configuration, and 168 economy seats arranged in a standard 3-3 configuration. The new aircraft are for sale on the Aer Lingus website, although they are shown as using the standard A321neo with the same seat map as the A321LR.

The flight — which is 3,905 miles away, according to Great Circle Mapper — will clock in at about eight hours and 10 minutes en route to Dublin and nine hours and five minutes west to Nashville.

Introductory fares for travel anytime between April 12 and May 31, 2025, are available on the new route for as low as $499 round-trip. You must book your flight before 7pm EDT on Oct. 31, 2024, for promotional fares, so make the trip soon if you’d like to take a trip from the country music capital to Dublin or beyond.
