Offerman and Mullally recall the first episode they shot together Parks and Recreation. “The first scene we shot very early in the morning, it was like 6:30 in the morning,” Mullally said on a November episode of the “When Everyone Knows Your Name” podcast. “We should have been the same, trying to get to this motel to leave.”
She continued, “I was like, ‘I’m going to take my bra off,’ and I took my bra off and I was like, ‘Action!’ … So I sneaked into this parking lot and I threw my bra out the car window, I slammed the doors, I ran and took off my sweater and a dark circle to erase my stomach Troy [Miller]I am the director.’
While filming the next episode at the restaurant, Mullally recalled being told to “do whatever you need to do.” He added, “So, we were like, playing weird at the table. They had, you know, people from the air, like customers, [we were] throwing food at people. We asked them first if we could do it. Nick, at one point, was so – Ron Swanson is so angry about testosterone – that we were in this dining room and he pulled the table out of the wall. A real table. He pulled it off the wall!”
Offerman said the two had a “habit of kissing” in the back of the house, which Mullally called a “violent and disgusting kiss.” He added, “We had to come up with new ways of kissing that would annoy people.”
