The Comings and Goings of the Young and the Restless reveals that Valarie Pettiford is joining the cast as the recast Amy Lewis. This is a real blast from the past. The actor has been gone since 1988. And now he is back with a new face and an amazing actor in the role.

If you don’t remember, Amy Lewis was the daughter of Frank Lewis, the police commissioner of Genoa City in the mid-80s. She also worked as Paul Williams’ secretary at his detective agency until she dated Nate Hastings’ father, Nathan Hastings Sr.

A Little Restless Coming and Going: Amy Lewis is back from the late ’80s

The comings and goings of The Young and the Restless confirm that out of the blue, showrunner Josh Griffith brought back Amy Lewis. It doesn’t seem easy, but he still has a lot of friends on the CBS soap opera.

Amy had close relationships with current Y&R characters such as Danny Romalotti, her sister Gina Roma, Traci Abbott, and Lauren Fenmore. In 1988, Amy left the city to care for her ailing father, who suffered a stroke and heart attack.

Now, he’s coming back, and we couldn’t be happier. Because they found the character’s gem to bring Amy back to Genoa City. Previously, Stephanie E. Williams had a role and now, let’s talk about her Jr. and her successor.

IY&R Casting News: Valarie Pettiford’s Role Lands Throwback Recast

News Y&R this week confirmed that they have struck a deal with Valarie Pettiford to play Amy Lewis. And the actress is no stranger to the soap world. He started in another country, then moved to One Life to Live in the early 90s.

He has a number of primetime credits including Blacklist, Rookie, The Equalizer, and The Mandalorian in the Star Wars universe. I personally fell in love with Valarie in the wonderful AMC series, Witchcraft.

She played the seductive witch Emily Mathers. Trust me, if you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out. Valarie Pettiford recently starred in The Family Business on BET. He also drew raves for his work on Half & Half on UPN.

What Brings Amy Young and Restless?

Young and restless fans are probably wondering what brings Amy Lewis back to Genoa City after all these years. The love interest seems very small considering there aren’t many age-appropriate gentlemen. Rather, I suspect it is a professional news series.

With the Chancellor leaving his post at Abbott-Chancellor to return to the police force, there is a vacancy for a Chief Constable. Who better to fill that role than Amy Lewis, following in her father’s footsteps?

This can be a great opportunity to diversify many business lines. Also, Sharon Newman may face criminal charges as soon as she reveals them. And with Traci, Lauren, and Danny still around, Amy has a lot of old friends to reconnect with on The Young and the Restless.
