Fetterman issues warning to Democrats after Elon holds Trump in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is warning other Democrats not to dismiss former President Trump supporter Elon Musk in the Keystone State.
Nineteen Electoral College votes are at stake in Pennsylvania on Nov. 5 and the country was rated as a throwback on Fox News’ Power Rankings.
With both Trump and Vice President Harris in a tight race there, and the likely winner taking the White House, the casually dressed and taciturn Fetterman told the New York Post in an interview that “Musk is worrying.”
“It’s not just that you agreed [Trump]but the fact that he’s now becoming an active participant and showing up and doing rallies and things like that,” Fetterman said, explaining that the highly successful Tesla and SpaceX CEO is an attractive number for the types of voters Harris needs to win over.
“I mean, [Musk] he’s incredibly successful, and, you know, I think some people can see him as Tony Stark,” said Fetterman, referring to the popular Marvel Comics character. They make fun of him jumping up and down and things like that. And I can only say that they do that at our peril.”

Musk, the world’s richest man, has described himself as a conservative and has voted for Democrats in the past. He has since said in various social media posts that the Democratic Party has veered too far to the left, embracing what he calls an “awakened mental virus.”
He appeared at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, near Trump earlier this month, where he told the crowd Trump supporters say this is “the most important election of our lifetime.”
Musk also posted on X that he will be speaking at a series of town hall events this weekend.
In addition, the billionaire put his money where his mouth is, donating $75 million to a pro-Trump super PAC, focused on voter turnout.

Fetterman, who has clashed with the progressive wing of his party, told the Post that while he’s not scared of 2024, the Pennsylvania election will be “ridiculously close.”
“Trump has an undeniable connection. And anyone who spends any time in Pennsylvania can see that kind of commitment and that’s why it’s going to be so close,” Fetterman said, “Pennsylvania elects a president.”
Fetterman stood firmly behind President Biden when some Democrats sought to drop the president from the 2024 race after his widely watched debate against Trump in June. He insists that Biden would compete with Trump if he had not withdrawn.
“I like to remind everybody that Biden is the only person who has ever beaten Trump,” Fetterman said.

He described the effort to put Biden out to pasture as “a complete torch.”
“You had the Democratic side, you had the progressive, right-wing media, and then celebrities got involved, too. And then the New York Times was the source of, ‘he has to go’ in all of that. .”

Fetterman stressed that he fully supports Harris now and believes he can win Pennsylvania.
“Harris couldn’t have run a better campaign so far,” he told the Post.
