Bloom Nutrition Greens 2024 Review: Is A Fad Brand Really Worth It?

Health brand Bloom Nutrition has become a buzzword across social media. I’ve seen it on my TikTok “For You” page and other social media apps for years. The company is known for its greens powder, which it claims improves immunity, promotes better digestion and reduces constipation. I checked it out to see if it lived up to the hype.

I was given two flavors of Vegetables in Bloom Nutrition and Superfoods powder. As someone who already drinks powdered greens every morning, I’ve seen first-hand the benefits of starting your day with an extra serving of greens, as well as added vitamins, nutrients, probiotics, antioxidants and adaptogens (herbals that respond better to stress) — all ingredients found in the best powdered greens. Since taking the powdered greens regularly, I’ve noticed an increase in energy, and I feel my digestive health has improved, too.

I stopped taking my usual herbal powder to try Bloom for a week. Here are my thoughts.

What are powdered vegetables?

Vegetable powder is a dietary supplement that helps you get the recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals found in vegetables and superfoods. People often turn to powdered vegetables as an easy way to get fruits, green vegetables and other vegetables. In addition, powdered vegetables often include probiotics, nutritional extracts and herbs.

Greens powder is added to 8 to 12 ounces of water, smoothie or other beverages to be consumed. If you don’t like the taste, try masking it with your favorite tea, juice, milk, lemonade, yogurt or protein shake.

Bloom Nutrition was founded in 2019 by a married couple who wanted to make health supplements with high quality ingredients that taste really good. Today, Bloom Nutrition offers greens powder, collagen peptides powder, whey isolate protein, pre-workout, high-energy pre-workout, matcha, mood-boosting vitamins, fish oil supplements and multivitamins.

In this review, I only tested the Bloom’s Greens & Superfoods combination. The powder supplement is gluten, dairy and soy-free. A 5-gram scoop of vegetables contains 15 calories, 3 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fiber, 0.6 milligrams of iron and 5 milligrams of sodium. The powder then contains a combination of seven different nutrients. There are 1,606 grams of fiber mix, 1,367 grams of raw superfood mix, 648 milligrams of prebiotic and probiotic mix, 572 milligrams of fruit and vegetable mix, 550 milligrams of mix of -antioxidant, 150 milligrams of enzyme and digestion. 100 milligrams adaptogenic compound. Depending on the flavor, the vegetable also contains 57 to 95 milligrams of stevia extract.

How much does Bloom cost?

For any taste, a 30-day tub of Bloom Greens & Superfoods is worth it $40and a 60-day tub of any flavoring costs $75. That price does not include shipping. However, there is free shipping on orders over $50 to anywhere in the US if you order through the Bloom website or you may be able to get free shipping at Walmart or through Amazon Prime.

There is also an option to sign up for Bloom Nutrition and save 10%. If you choose to subscribe, you can have Bloom delivered to your door every 30, 60 or 90 days. You can change, suspend or cancel your subscription at any time. Bloom says this option guarantees delivery even during sales and gives you access to special deals and giveaways.

I tried the original flavor and the orange one.

Bloom Greens & Superfoods flavored powder is delicious. Compared to the original taste, the orange flavor is much better. I first tried both flavors with just water, and the taste of the original was too earthy for me. The orange flavor was better but too sweet for my liking. After some trial and error, I found that the best way to drink Bloom greens was to add them to orange juice. (I only have to add water to the powdered greens I drink every morning to enjoy it.) There is a lot of stevia extracted from one small scoop, and I’m not a fan of extreme sweetness, so I needed something. to help mask that taste. Regardless of which Bloom flavor you prefer, I recommend mixing it with a juice or smoothie. You can’t get rid of it with water alone.

The texture is a little thick, but depending on which liquid you mix, it is not noticeable. It helps a lot if you have a whisk or a small electric mixer to help mix it. However, I found that if you don’t drink it in less than 5 minutes, the green powder will separate and sink to the ground. I didn’t like that as the powder and the flavor is very concentrated at the end of the drink.

Does Bloom work?

I can’t say for sure that Bloom works. I didn’t see any changes in inflammation (I didn’t see any improvement, but the symptoms didn’t get worse either). Although Bloom Nutrition claims to help with constipation and digestion, these claims have not been tested by the Food and Drug Administration. I tested the product for a week, and it is possible that if I had tested the product for longer, I would have seen more results. I also did not take it at the same time each day. For best results, try to drink your powdered vegetables at the same time.

That being said, Bloom can be functional, but the supply of essential vitamins, minerals, probiotics and adaptogens is not strong enough. For example, the best probiotics on the market contain between 100 and 50 billion colony-forming units. Bloom’s added probiotics contain no CFU at all. In addition, Bloom has a 1,606-gram fiber blend, but the calculated amount of dietary fiber is only 2 grams, which is only 7% of the recommended daily amount.

If you compare Bloom to other popular brands of powdered vegetables, AG1competitor contains 7,388 milligrams of the superfood blend and 2,732 milligrams of the vegetable and antioxidant blend. Both of these are almost double what can be found in Bloom. Two spoons equals one scoop of competitor. Finally, the nutrition facts on the back of the Bloom Greens & Superfoods container also do not tell you how much is in each mix.

If you are considering any Bloom Nutrition products, I would first encourage you to look at similar products on the market. Chances are there are better alternatives out there. However, when compared to higher powdered vegetable products such as – AG1 — Bloom Nutrition has an even price. If you’re new to powdered greens and looking for a place to start, Bloom might be the option for you.

On the other hand, if you need a food supplement to fill the nutritional gaps in your diet, this powdered vegetable product is not for you. Although there is more fiber and iron in a single serving of Bloom, there is not nearly enough to make a difference for someone who has an iron deficiency or needs more fiber. No added vitamins, nutrients or probiotics. In my opinion, you are better off adding more vegetables to your daily diet.
