Although it just hit theaters in September, it’s officially available to watch at home, where you can weep in peace. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch Wild Robot.

What Wild Robot about?

Wild Robot based on the book of the same name by Peter Brown. It follows ROZZUM unit 7134 (portrayed by Lupita Nyong’o), a robot stranded on a deserted island. Unable to live up to his needs to complete human tasks, ROZZUM – also known as “Roz” – must adapt to his new environment and look to the island’s wildlife to fulfill his mission. Some of those animals include a smart fox named Fink (Pedro Pascal), a sassy opossum named Pinktail (Catherine O’Hara), and an adorable orphaned gosling (Kit Connor).

Is it Wild Robot is it worth watching?

If you cry easily, adjust the muscles. Mashable entertainment reporter Belen Edwards made the call Wild Robot “a sweet (and yes, sad) story of motherhood and connection, all supported by DreamWorks’ most stunning animation to date.” He also revealed that it is “a capstone to DreamWorks’ 30th anniversary.”

If our glowing reviews aren’t enough to entice you to watch, perhaps the 98 percent of critics and very close audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes will. That doesn’t really make sense. After the extreme speculation of its opening weekend and taking the top spot at the box office, Wild Robot is now the highest-reviewed computer-animated film on Rotten Tomatoes released in the 2020s.

Is it Wild Robot streaming?

As the film only hits theaters in late September, there is no official release date yet Wild Robot. It will probably be a few months before it starts airing, but in the meantime, you can rent or buy it from VOD stores or prepare by subscribing to Peacock. Since NBCUniversal owns DreamWorks Animation, Wild Robot is slated to air on Peacock eventually alongside other recent Universal and DreamWorks hits, such as Fall Boy, Kung Fu Panda 4again Abigail.

Peacock’s best deal for Xfinity customers: Free Peacock Premium with selected plans

If you’re an Xfinity customer and haven’t checked your eligibility with your account, you may want to skip that. Select customers can receive a free Peacock subscription. Here is an explanation of who is eligible:
