Official LEGO Site Intruded With Crypto Scam

While launching a cyber attack on a toy company may seem like a blow, it’s not the first time LEGO fans have faced hacking.

In November 2023, the Denmark-based company announced that the website BrickLink, a LEGO marketplace where fans can buy and sell used LEGO parts, was the victim of a coordinated third-party cyber attack. The latter found a way to access the accounts of sellers on the platform. LEGO revealed that those responsible for the hack then demanded a ransom.

The hack prompted LEGO to encourage users to change their passwords, revealing that accounts were being compromised by attackers who purchased account information elsewhere, ensuring that BrinkLink is secure for most users.
