The Tracker’s Justin Hartley Helps Stephen Colbert Find a Lost Coffee Mug
Justin Hartley put his Tracker test skills to help Stephen Colbert find the missing cup.
Thursday, October 3, episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbertthe host, who is 60 years old, realizes that he cannot find his favorite trophy. He leaves the stage for professional help as Hartley, 47, plays bounty hunter Colter Shaw in Tracker.
“My name is not Tracker. My name is Justin Hartley and I am in a program called Tracker,” the actor explains to Colbert, who continues to call him Tracker. “[I could] maybe [find your mug]. I mean, how many cups can there be in the greater New York Metropolitan area?”
The two then went on a mission to circle the Ed Sullivan Theater for clues. Colbert almost gives up but Hartley picks him up with a speech.
“Listen, I found a missing ghost hunter in Vermont, a lost racehorse in Kentucky and I was able to find the perfect balance of drama and action to make Tracker the No. 1 show in prime time,” Hartley said. “I’m telling you, I’ll get your f—— cup.”
Hartley and Colbert noticed the patron with the cup so they shooed him back on stage. They even got him before Colbert realized that his mug had been on his desk the whole time. Viewers can look forward to successful cases to be solved in season 2 of Tracker.
Process, based Jeffery Deavera novel The Never Gamewhich premiered in February after Super Bowl LVIII and quickly found its audience as people tuned in every week to watch their favorite fictional survivor aka Colter travel the country to help solve missing persons cases, track down information on criminal cases and much more.
After the show’s first season ended, the viewership numbers confirmed that Tracker was the most watched series from the 2023-24 TV season. The show has already been renewed for a second season, which introduces new cases for Colter to solve.
“We’ve got another season of shooting to do better than Season 1. So while we wanted all those stories to wrap up, we also wanted those events to lead to other questions — big, deep questions — about her. ago,” said Hartley Deadline in May about future plans for the show. “So I think we have done that in answering some of the questions that we have been building throughout the year. I think we did a good job of making sure that the answers to those questions lead to a bigger mystery, something that we can reveal in season 2.”

That same month, Hartley teased whether Colter would be arrested again after spending time behind bars several times in the first season.
“We have a joke about how many times Colter broke the law. Our hosting department has put together a list and it’s hilarious. “My idea was, maybe at the end of season 2, my gift wrapping for everyone would be a hoodie that lists all the things he’s done,” Hartley joked. Wrapping up. “Like assault, breaking and entering, kidnapping, all those things. But it’s a long list already. Every episode, you do something illegal, right?”
Tracker returns to CBS on Sunday, October 13 at 8 pm ET. New episodes air the next day on Paramount+.
