Providence’s Los Andes offers a blend of Latin flavors
PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI) – When you enter Los Andes, you are immediately transported to South America.
That unique situation has always been where owner Cesin Curi thrives.
“It is definitely a place where people have learned to see our culture, taste our culture and hear our culture,” said Curi.
Los Andes, named after the mountains that cross South America, was founded almost twenty years ago by three brothers, including Curi, who left Cochobamba, Bolivia, with their parents in pursuit of the American dream.
“I thank them very much for showing us that behavior,” he said of his parents. “When you come and do that, don’t put your head down until you’re done. That’s what the American dream is all about – working as hard as you can and believing in what you can achieve.”
Curi said Los Andes serves not only Bolivian and Peruvian food, but also Argentinean and other South American dishes.

Los Andes’ menu boasts a blend of Latin flavors designed to please any palate. Even though Providence is miles away from South America, Curi has made it his mission to bring those traditions and customs to the Ocean State.
“It’s very exciting because of the support we get from our community,” said Curi. “Every single culture is what makes this place unique. The diversity of our customers.”
