Garth Brooks Shares Photo With Trisha Yearwood Days Before Assault Claims
Trisha Yearwood again Garth Brooks it looks like it happened days before the “Friends in Low Places” singer’s sexual assault case hit the headlines.
“We’re going to do the work, but we’re taking a lot with us,” Brooks, 62, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, October 1, in a shared post tagging the profiles of Yearwood, 60, and Habitat for Humanity. “We start building the @habitatforhumanity Carter Work 2024 project. As they say, Home is the key and love never ends! To everyone who built with us, today was a GREAT Day 1!!! Love, g & TY.”
The post also included a photo of Brooks and Yearwood, who have been Habitat Humanitarians since 2016, walking a Habitat for Humanity project site. As the couple walked down the dirt road, they held hands and looked at each other.
The two, who have been married since 2005, also shared more photos President Jimmy Carter while volunteering for a non-profit housing organization. Both are eager to work with the politician, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday, years ago.
“Your work has impacted the world and your heart continues to change lives, including ours. Thank you for being on the Carter Work Project @habitatforhumanity build this week with so many others,” the duo captioned the slideshow. “Thank you for encouraging us all to give more and love more! It is an honor to be your friend. Love, Garth and Trisha. “
One month ago, Brooks also shared a sweet tribute to his wife in honor of her 60th birthday.
“Happy Birthday, Trisha!!! You look better than ever, You are better than ever and I love you MORE than ever…love me,” she wrote on Instagram on September 16 alongside a black and white photo of Yearwood laughing in front of the camera.
Yearwood and Brooks began as friends before their connection turned romantic. Before meeting, Yearwood was married twice, once Chris Latham from 1987 to 1991 again Robert Reynolds from 1994 to 2000. Brooks, on the other hand, married an ex-wife Sandy Mahle in 1986. The elders, who share three daughters, finalized their divorce in 2001.
In 2005, Brooks proposed to Yearwood on stage. They tied the knot that same year. Since their marriage, Yearwood and Brooks have stuck together through their ups and downs.

On Thursday, October 3rd, news broke that a woman, Jane Roe, had accused Brooks of sexual harassment and assault. According to court documents obtained by CNN, Roe said she was hired by Brooks and Yearwood as a hair and makeup artist in 2017.
In the filing, Roe alleges that Brooks sexually assaulted her during a 2019 business trip. In addition to the allegations of sexual harassment, Roe said Brooks sent her sexually explicit messages, repeatedly exposed her private parts and buttocks to her and discussed his sexual thoughts in front of her. The woman also said Brooks made “repeated comments” about “having a threesome” with Yearwood.
Brooks denied the allegations in the papers. Us Weekly has reached the comment.
