Celebrities Honored by British Royals: Pictures

One of the most prestigious honors a British-born person can receive is a knighthood or knighthood from a member of the royal family.

Congratulations to the food writer, TV presenter and former judge on @britishbakeoff who received her Damehood for services to the arts from the Prince of Wales today,” the royal family announced on their official Instagram page at the time. “The Prince of Wales and the Princess Royal presented dignitaries from all walks of life with their symbols during two investitures at Windsor Castle today.”
Berry told the BBC that he was “very proud and honoured” to receive the title, adding, “I wish my parents were there – look down and my children are very happy. My aim is to pass on the skill that I love so much because everyone has to cook every day. Regardless you are a student or whatever, you have to support yourself so why not learn to do it well and enjoy it.”
