The Sudanese army made some gains in the capital Khartoum this week.
The Sudanese army now controls three important bridges in and out of the capital.
But heavy fighting continues in the center of Khartoum.
The war caused one of the greatest disasters in the world.
Sudan’s military chief says the fighting forces must withdraw from the area they control before there is peace.
But is there a lack of will on both sides?
And could this renewed war be the spark that ignites the region?
