Davos 2025: Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to participate in WEF, says world is keen to understand India’s economic policies

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland. His visit to the annual gathering of policymakers and business leaders also highlights India’s commitment to driving inclusive growth and sustainable development. Before embarking on his journey, Vaishnaw emphasized India’s important step in ensuring the development of all sections of the society, especially those that were historically left out of progress.

“The Prime Minister of India is focused on inclusive development that brings about changes in the lives of those at the bottom of the tower. From financial inclusion through bank accounts to providing essential needs such as toilets, gas connection, running water, and improving infrastructure in rural and urban areas, this is something the world wants to understand,” said Vaishnaw.

At the World Economic Forum, there will be a detailed discussion about inclusive growth, about investment in social, physical and digital infrastructure, and democratic technology, he said.

The country’s participation in this annual goal is aimed at strengthening relations, attracting investment, and positioning it as a global leader in sustainable development and technological innovation.

The Council engages political, business, academic, civil society and other community leaders to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
