‘How to Win on the Go’: TPG founder Brian Kelly’s first book is here
Every day, more than 100 TPG employees around the world write stories for our website, post content on our Instagram and upload videos to our YouTube channel to show you the best ways to maximize credit card rewards and frequent flyer miles.
TPG aims to help you spend smarter to travel better.
But there’s one guy who started it all: TPG founder Brian Kelly, who started sharing his tips on the blog that would become The Points Guy as we know it today.
The “points guy” has been busy traveling with points and miles and maxing out credit cards for decades. It’s no surprise that she’s got tons of travel tips to share — from using airline miles and credit card points to finding cheap flights or planning your dream trip.
Now, he’s brought travelers together in one place in his first book, “How to Win at Travel,” which hits bookstores Feb. 4 (and currently available for pre-order).
This book includes practical advice on a variety of topics, including how to find cheap flights, make the most of airline, hotel and credit card programs, overcome your fear of flying, beat jet lag, and find free flights and upgrades. Brian also covers the ins and outs of travel insurance, the art of coping with travel problems, and the technology you need to manage modern travel. The content promises to help you save money and time.

Brian will embark on a multi-city book tour to celebrate the launch, sharing his work with readers across the country.
The tour begins in his hometown of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 1. He will then take the show on the road with the following confirmed stops:
There are likely more cities and dates to come, so keep your eyes on the tour website for a chance to meet Brian and get your book signed.
In Brian’s own words: “Traveling should be fun, exciting and memorable. You may think traveling is dangerous, but it’s amazing when the plan works for you. When I travel, I rarely wait in lines. I don’t pay for food and drinks at airports. You can do the same – I’ll show you how.”
Grab those books now, and we’ll see you on the way.
