Auto Expo 2025: Hyundai Creta Electric launched at Rs 17.99 lakh; check the details
Hyundai Creta EV: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on Friday, January 17, launched the much-awaited CRETA Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 at a starting price of Rs 17.99 lakh. According to the company, the electric version of the Creta will be offered with two options of battery packs, catering to different customer needs and preferences.
Apart from that, the Creta EV is said to deliver a range of 473 km on a single charge. Also, the car can reach from 0 to 10% charge in just 39 minutes.
In terms of speed the Creta EV is strong, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The car will also come equipped with advanced safety features such as 17 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) Level-2.
For safety-conscious buyers, the Creta EV offers 75+ advanced safety features, with the base variant ensuring 52 features as standard.
Speaking at the launch of Hyundai CRETA Electric, Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, HMIL, said, “CRETA Electric marks an important milestone in HMIL’s electrification journey and demonstrates our commitment to the government’s ‘Make in India’ vision, as it is our first .India’s indigenous EV SUV.

Key Features and Technologies –
- Two battery options: 51.4kWh (Long Range) and 42kWh offer a driving range of 473km and 390km respectively.
- The 51.4 kWh battery pack (long range) produces 126 kW (171 PS) of power and the 42 kWh battery produces 99 kW (135 PS) of power.

- Vehicle-to-Laad (V2L)iii both inside and outside for a simple and innovative experience
- More than 75 advanced safety features and 52 safety features as standard on all models
- Equipped with advanced EV capabilities, including water immersion test, battery drop test, and IP67 rated battery pack

- It comes with i-Pedal technology, which allows the driver to accelerate, slow down, or come to a complete stop using only the accelerator pedal.
