Chrishell Stause Thinks Tom Sandoval’s Rogue Game Was ‘Bad’

“I thought it was funny,” Chrishell, 43, said to himself Us Weekly about Sandoval’s original approach. “I just felt like all the people and all the minds at this table, do we think Sandoval solved the puzzle 0.5 seconds out of the room? No.”

Chrishell noted that Sandoval’s decision to name him on the spot “worked” in his favor, adding, “I felt like he was too loud and wrong.” It was as if anyone said anything [the Traitor] that is, we probably know it isn’t. So I think it helped me to be honest.”

During the three-episode run, Sandoval, 42, got off to a rocky start when he accused Chrishell of infidelity despite evidence backing up his theory. The two face each other in the first meeting of the deportation table when Chrishell accuses Sandoval of naming her just because he is close to his ex-girlfriend. Ariana Madix.

“He’s bad [at playing the game]. To tell you the truth, there was no other reason for him to say my name,” he said. “He just said out loud that he knows I’m an Islander. Of course you’re going to be like, ‘Oh, I was just playing a game.’ To me, it felt personal and you probably won’t be able to change your mind right now.”

Chrisshell said Us Ariana, 39, “definitely” didn’t ask for advice about working with Sandoval before joining the hit series Peacock. After Sandoval and Ariana’s split made headlines, Chrishell weighed in, writing with an X next to a red carpet photo of her and Ariana, “I’d love it if we could all agree on something.”

Rumors of a feud between Sandoval and Chrishell began in November 2024 when they shared a series of promotional photos of all competitors – except Sandoval. I Selling Sunset The star did not talk about being left out at the time but now he is open about his strategy to enter the show.

“It was about making friends and sleeping on the floor. You don’t even want to do that much planning in the beginning. My name was brought up on the first table. I went in with good intentions and had to abandon that game plan,” he recalled. “I had to go with what I could do, which was really to defend myself and make sure people felt like I was honest.”

Chrishell continued: “But if you do a very good job, you will be guilty of murder. So I knew I had to get a shield and I had to protect myself from the round table. At that time [after Sandoval named me]my game plan is shot.”

The reality star managed to avoid being fired – or killed – in the first two rounds but it remains to be seen how long he lasted as Thembekile Traitors.

“This season is crazy. Every episode will leave you on the edge of your seat because during filming I was thinking, ‘Wow, how are they going to edit this?’ Because even the round tables were always on the edge of your seat,” he said. “I thought the first three episodes were very entertaining. Even though I’m taking myself out of it, I’m a fan of the show. It’s one of those situations where I’m just going to say buckle up because it’s going to be a tough ride and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

New episodes of Traitors will be released on Peacock Thursday until March 6.
