Terence Crawford told Gervonta Davis on X to “stop being afraid” and fight Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis. Those two are Crawford’s best friends, so it makes sense that he would try to shame Tank Davis into fighting them.

Keyshawn has no fans and looked bad in the fights against Miguel Madueno and Nahir Albright. He showed no interest in fighting Cuba Andy Cruzwho beat him four times in the novices and made him look like a circus performer in the 2020 Olympics.
Tank will not help Crawford’s lover, Keyshawn. If Crawford wants to try to turn his friend, Keyshawn, into a star, he needs to give him the courage to face the winner Andy Cruz.
Crawford tries to find Gervonta after abandoning him at X, saying,
“You will really think of him [Crawford] chasing greatness. He is not. That’s what he has to do to make decent money.”
Tank Davis talks about Terence chasing paydays, not greatness against Canelo Alvarez in Saudi Arabia. This is about Crawford’s retirement income. If he had really stepped into his inheritance, he would have gone up to 168 and proved himself first instead of pleading for war.
Crawford has been telling fans that his reason for moving up two weight classes to challenge unified super middleweight champion Canelo is for a “legacy” to get bigger, but Davis sees it as more about money.

This is what Crawford has to do to make money because he can’t sell. Crawford’s last fight against Israel Madrimov was reported to have bought between 75,000 and 100,000. Those are bad numbers. Crawford has NEVER been a PPV draw like Tank Davis.
Lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) shares the same trainer as ‘Bud’ Crawford. Both were trained by Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre.
The tank will not fight a it’s boring Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) because he is not a marketable fighter and would be difficult to promote. Gervonta would bring in all the PPV buys, and Shakur would just be there. Shakur is a boring fighter that people don’t want to watch.
I still don’t know why Eddie Hearn signed Shakur and thought he could make him a “world star.” That doesn’t happen in the US
Maybe Hearn can make Shakur a star in the UK because their entertainment levels seem low. That’s why fighters like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Conor Benn, and Chris Eubank Jr. they are very popular there. They will never be stars in the US You have to have talent to be a star in America.
