Fans of the Fanatics, LA sports teams team up to fundraise for new #LAStong clothing to fight wildfires
The Fanatics announced Friday that they have partnered with 15 Los Angeles sports teams and major leagues to release #LAStong merchandise as the wildfires ravage the area.
The fire burned about 30,000 hectares and destroyed more than 10,000 buildings, leaving many homeless.
At least 10 people have died.
Among the teams featured in merchandise are the Dodgers and Angels, Chargers and Rams, Lakers and Clippers and Kings and Ducks, as well as both MLS teams – the Galaxy and LAFC – and USC.

“My heart breaks as we all watch the horror unfold across Los Angeles and completely disrupt so many lives. The damage these fires have done is unimaginable,” Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin wrote in a statement.

“Many people I consider family, including our employees based there, have been directly impacted, and our organization is coming together to try to make a real impact as quickly as possible. Today, we are proud to partner with the LA sports community to launch the new ‘LA Strong’ apparel collection.”
Rubin added that 100% of the proceeds will be donated by the Fanatics, leagues and sports organizations to the LA Fire Department Foundation and the American Red Cross “as they continue their heroic actions to help as many people as possible.”
“What’s happening is gut-wrenching, and it’s our job to use our platform in any way we can … and we’re working around the clock to find ways to provide more relief efforts in LA. #LAStong.”
Many sporting events have been affected in this area. The Kings and Lakers games have both been postponed, and Monday night’s NFL playoff game between the Vikings and Rams has been moved to Arizona.
