Naomi Osaka Confirms Split From Boyfriend And Daughter’s Father Cordae
Tennis star Naomi Osaka announced that she has split from her long-term boyfriend Cordaethe father of her 17-month-old daughter, Shay.
“Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in love,” Osaka, 27, shared on her Instagram story on Monday, January 6. “There’s no bad blood at all, he’s a good person and an amazing father.”

“I’ve come to the conclusion that what’s meant for me is meant for me and maybe some situations happen to train my mind for what’s to come,” he wrote on Sunday, January 5. “Maybe there are bigger and better things on my way. and I must continue the journey to meet them.”
Osaka added, “That being said, it’s going to be a great year 😌😉.”
The four-time champion also expressed his gratitude to “his team and everyone around me for having my back and keeping me sane (although that’s negotiable LOL).”
In another post, Osaka thanked her “friends all over the world (I think it’s a shame to say fans).”
