Curmel Moton Returns to the Benavidez-Morrell PPV Undercard on February 1st

Lightweight prospect Curmel Moton will reportedly fight on the undercard of David Benavidez vs. David Morrell on February 1st in 40 days on PBC on Prime Video PPV at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Benavidez-Morrell Undercard

The undefeated 18-year-old faces Moton and the rest of the card is yet to be announced. It probably won’t be any notable name for Moton, as he is still young and VERY matched by his promoter.

It will be interesting to see what division the 5’4″ Moton (6-0, 5 KOs) will fight in this tournament. He weighed in at 139 3/4 lbs for his last fight against Hilario Martinez Moreno on October 12 in Philadelphia. The fact that Moton already has weight problems at the age of 18 suggests that he will move up to welterweight soon and become food for the beasts in that division.

Although Moton destroyed Moreno in the first round, his weight gain, near the 140-lb limit, is a red flag that he may be forced to move up to light welterweight soon. At 5’4″, Moton is on the small size for that category and will have problems against taller fighters. Built like a squash-shaped fire engine, you can tell by looking at him that he’s going to have trouble going up to 140 and up.

Creating a Record

Moton is one of Floyd Mayweather Jr’s players, and he is expected to bring him a little like he did with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, and feed him some food. to create a record building a money maker.

If Moton follows the same script as Tank, he might not be a 50-50 fight until the end of his career when he’s 30 years old. Tank still isn’t 50-50, and he’s been in the pro game for 11 years. So, what does that tell you about how Moton will be delivered? You’d think that Moton wouldn’t be brought in as a Tank, but it’s a sure thing that he will.
