Fury’s Sulking Infant Act After Losing To Usyk Mars Heavyweight Bout
Oleksandr Usyk says his rematch victory over Tyson Fury on Saturday night was “easier” than his previous one in their first fight last May. Usyk (23-0, 12 KOs) successfully defended his three belts, WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight, defeating Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) for the second time in Riyadh,
Usyk is not an easy fight for him, but it was “Easier” than their previous one, which the judges scored as a 12-round split decision. This time, they gave Usyk a 12-round unanimous decision with scores of 116-112, 116-112, and 116-112.
Usyk outclassed Fury by a wide margin with a high connection rate. He was clearly the better player, seemingly sweeping the final seven rounds.
The ‘King of the Gypsies’ has his moments in the rematch, but if he did, Usyk would quickly come back, landing multiple punches to win. This pattern repeats itself throughout the rounds.
Fury’s Tantrum
After the scores were announced after the fight, Tyson came out of the ring looking like a child and not wanting to talk to the media. It is an overlooked move that people use to manipulate others into doing their way.
In this case, this behavior makes Fury look like a crying baby. Tyson looked very upset when he arrived at the press conference after the fight and insisted that he had won, saying that the judges had given Usyk a “Christmas present.”
“The war was easy. It’s not easy but it’s easier than the first one,” said Oleksandr Usyk at the post-fight press conference on Saturday night after beating Tyson Fury in their rematch in Riyadh. “Tyson Fury is a great competitor. He is a tough boxer and a big man.
“Uncle Frank is blind,” Usyk said of Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, believing Tyson deserved a three- or four-round victory. “If Fury says this is a ‘Christmas present,’ then that’s fine. Frank is a crazy man, I think. Okay, no problem. I win.”
Usyk was speaking as usual, expressing his thoughts on Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, believing that he deserved to win. It should have been embarrassing for Warren to watch Fury lose because it means that the trilogy fight between him and Usyk that Turki Alalshikh had talked about is off the table. Fury still has Anthony Joshua to make big money fighting in 2025, but there won’t be another big payday against Usyk in a third fight.
Oleksandr Swept Backstretch
“I did [agree with the scores]. The first rounds were close. “Tyson had a few average rounds, but then, in the last six, Usych had it all,” said Sunny Edwards on Fight Hub TV.
“It wasn’t as fun as before, but you could see that the men respected each other. They weren’t trying to give too much, but when they started to let their hands go, it was a fireworks show. It was too late. It wasn’t the most classic spectacle, but Usyk did what he had to do to win.
“I think Fury technically was the best. He stayed on his side of things. He was punching trying to counter Usyk’s work,” said Edwards.
