Jacob Roloff’s Wife Asks Doctor to Take Pictures of Gallbladder Surgery

Isabel revealed on social media on Monday, December 16, that she asked her doctor if she could get photos of the removed organ after it caused her great pain.
“I asked my surgeon to take pictures of my gallbladder during the operation,” they said Small People, Big World said the alum in an Instagram Story post, noting that her surgeon showed her the photos before she was discharged later that day.
Isabel remembers her doctor telling her that her gallbladder would “explode” and was filled with “hundreds of stones,” even comparing the enlarged organ to “the size of a golf ball!”

Isabel shocked her fans on Monday when she revealed that she was headed to the emergency room to get “pain medication.” He updated his followers later that day explaining that he had been “living with chronic gallbladder pain for at least four years” after an undisclosed diagnosis in 2020.

After visiting the nearest urgent care for abdominal pain, he was advised to go to the ER where doctors performed an emergency operation to remove the gallbladder. “I actually woke up crying because of the immediate relief after the surgery,” Isabel said on Instagram, noting that she still has “pain” from the incision site.
Isabel later confirmed she was “heading home” on Monday, sharing a photo of herself in a wheelchair with a “Feel better soon” balloon.

Jacob and Isabel tied the knot in September 2019 after dating for five years. They welcomed their first child, son Mateo, in 2021.
Just a few weeks before Isabel’s emergency surgery, she and Jacob celebrated Mateo’s third birthday with a party at the Roloff family farm in Oregon, where they live and work.
“What a great day to celebrate our 3 year old 💛 Thank you all for coming!!” the couple shared a post on Instagram on December 8. The truck-themed party featured chocolate muffins and Christmas cookies for guests, which included both family and friends.
