Former WBC interim junior middleweight champion Serhii Bohachuk is predicting a knockout victory over his replacement, Ishmael Davis, in their 12-round title fight on Saturday, December 21. The fight will air live on DAZN PPV on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs. . Oleksandr Usyk 2 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Davis (13-1, 6 KOs) is coming off a loss to Josh Kelly on September 21st and was reportedly the fight Turki Alalshikh was hotting up against despite his recent loss.
Countermeasures
Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs) says he beat Kelly to the uninitiated. Even if he didn’t, Bohachuk’s fight with Ishmael is like a mismatch. Davis, 29, is an underrated fighter.
It’s too bad a better fighter wasn’t found to replace Bohachuk because Davis isn’t good enough to make this fight interesting. He didn’t show much strength and looked poor in his loss to Josh Kelly. He made Kelly look like he was a strong hitter in that fight, which he wasn’t.

Ishmael Davis is definitely old enough to fight this level of opposition, but his fight with Josh Kelly showed that he is not good enough to beat world class opponents.
Although Kelly is ranked higher, he should be lower in the 14 or 15 spots. Kelly’s sixth round loss to David Avanesyan in 2021 and 10 round draw against Ray Robinson in 2019 showed his quality or lack thereof.
Bohachuk lost a controversial 12-round majority decision to Vergil Ortiz Jr. on August 10 in a fight that left a black eye in sports. He shouldn’t have lost, but the Judges of Las Vegas awarded the famous fighter.
Vergil Jr. he was knocked out twice and forced to run from the eighth round due to the punishment he had taken. Ortiz Jr. was arguably saved from being ejected in the 11th round when glove work was halted. He was injured in stoppage time.

“I saw him at the restaurant now. He is a good boy. He smiled. I saw his fight [with Josh Kelly]. He presses, he moves, he can change his position from left to right. He is an interesting boxer. It’s a good experience for me, and a good fight in my career,” said Bohachuk about his fight with Ishmael Davis.
“Yes, I can stop [Davis]. I’m ready for Madrimov. Yes, I can block him. I can talk in combat. I will show you in the fight.”
Bohachuk will take Ishmael Davis down and out on Saturday night. Davis goes a long way in this fight when he runs, which he likely will be doing throughout the contest. He doesn’t have the ability to stand up in the pocket against Bohachuk and will get cut quickly if he tries.
Bohachuk Picks Usyk In Fury
“Usyk wins by decision or KO. If Fury is ready for this fight, Syk can win the decision,” said Bohachuk. “If Fury is not ready for this fight, Usyk will beat him in the next rounds, maybe nine or eleven rounds,” said Bohachuk, giving his prediction for the fight between joint heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
“I don’t think I lost the battle with Vergil [Ortiz]and I think Madrimov wants a fight with Vergil in the next fight. I’m ready for Madrimov. When he defeats Vergil, I’m ready for him. “He’s a good boxer, he’s tough, and it’s a good fight for me,” said Bohachuk.
