Trump is threatening more lawsuits against the media as ABC will pay $15 million to settle the lawsuit

Donald Trump said yesterday at a Mar-a-Lago news conference that he would answer a few questions.

This happened two days after ABC and George Stephanopoulos apologized to Trump to correct the defamation, agreeing to donate $15 million to the president’s library or foundation, and another million to cover his legal fees. This avoided what would have been a humiliating and stressful experience for its star anchor.

The problem with the network is that Stephanopoulos repeatedly said that Trump was found guilty of “rape,” repeating the word about 10 times, in the civil case of E. Jean Carroll, when a judge charged her with “sexual harassment.”

Although the judge said this would be considered rape, they are legally separated in New York. You don’t accept 15 million rands unless you think you don’t have a lot of guilt.

While left-leaning pundits accused ABC of “collapsing” on Trump, the network made a different judgment call.

“We have to direct the newspapers,” he said. “The media is corrupt. Almost as corrupt as our elections.”

He added: “I’m not doing this because I want to. I’m doing this because I feel I have a responsibility,” Trump said. “In my opinion it was fraud and it was election interference.”

Trump also said he would indict Bob Woodward for making public the audio tapes from the book project. Woodward said he never agreed not to do that.

And Trump plans to continue his action against the Pulitzer Prize board by awarding the Washington Post and the New York Times awards for what he calls the Russia Russia hoax. Although there was a lot of drama, the board says Trump was unable to point out any impropriety in the articles posted.

And then there’s Trump commenting on, almost, everything else.

He said he will consider pardoning the indicted New York Mayor Eric Adams because he was treated “unfairly.”

He said he did not understand how people could sympathize with the suspect in the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson: “It was cold. It was a disease, really.”

He praised Lara Trump but said the decision to nominate her for the vacant Florida Senate seat was up to DeSantis. However, the Wall Street Journal reports that he has lobbied the governor to nominate him.
