Ekster’s Stylish Wallet is Pocket-Sized Perfection

If you’re worried about losing your wallet, you can pick up a tracker card for an extra $49. I chose the Android version, which works with the Chipolo network to show the last known location of your wallet on a map. There is also an iOS version that works with Apple’s Find My network. Like all the best trackers, both versions let you ring your wallet on your phone, which is great if you have a train to catch, and your wallet has fallen between the couch cushions. You can even set up alerts on the left, so you’ll be pinged if your wallet goes out of range of your phone.

Battery life can be up to six months for the iOS tracker and about three for the Android version. You can plug in the iOS model to recharge, but the Android tracker has a solar panel to keep it powered up. They are as compact as a few cards and fit neatly into a back pocket. I have never lost my wallet.

More Minimalist

Although the Ekster Parliament is my favorite, I have tested other Ekster models. The Cardholder and Cardholder Pro ditch the leather exterior for an even sleeker look and come in some fun colors and patterns like forged magma and carbon fiber. They retain the trigger and other features and are perfect if you prefer to go as light as possible. I gave a couple as gifts, and my oldest uses the Ekster Card Holder and loves it.

Space is limited when you choose a small wallet like this, and there is no room for coins and limited space for bills. But there are optional extras. Modular accessories include a multi-tool card ($49), a coin clip backplate ($29), and a coin tray ($29). The money tray is very useful and can accommodate a key, but you don’t want to add too much, or your wallet will expand.

Finally, the Ekster Parliament has been in my inner pocket for several years now, and it still works very well. I never miss my old fat wallet, and I still enjoy pulling out that firecracker every time I get my card. The tracker has also been a lifesaver a few times, making sure I’ve left my wallet in my other jacket and I’m not going anywhere. It’s a little expensive, but it might be the last wallet you ever need to buy.
