Kyrgios reached the Wimbledon final in 2022 and played one match the following year due to injury.

Making his third appearance in Brisbane, the home favorite lifted the trophy in 2018. Kyrgios is a seven-time tour-level champion who also reached No. 13 in the PIF ATP Rankings.

The Brisbane International presented by Evie runs from 29 December – 5 January.
