In interview no UsJohnson and Mpumalanga opened up about their holiday picks for the season, what it’s been like to work with Amazon and how the Same-Day Delivery service helps with that last-minute gift and makes life easier as parents of three.
“There are a lot of concerns about having children,” East said. “It’s great that Amazon is taking care of most of the transportation issues so that parents don’t have to. But I think we depend on Same-Day Delivery for everyday essentials or last-minute gifts. “
In a campaign to promote Amazon’s Same-Day Delivery service, i Married Things podcast hosts see what it’s like to be Amazon Flex Drivers for a day. Both are racing to fulfill orders for the Same Day in their hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.
“It was fun,” Johnson said. “It was humbling. We have a new respect. But [it was] and it’s great to be able to walk into the facility, see the new hub and see how all the flex drivers and same day delivery work. We see everything from the packaging of all the items to how they get into the carts, and how they get into the cars. Then being able to bring that to the kids and having a gym was really special.”
As the parents of three children, Johnson said she sees herself using the Same Day service “a lot around the holidays,” when “life gets busy and chaotic.” However, the pair also use it for last-minute emergencies, like when they’re hosting Friendsgiving and forget to buy a large serving of their sweet potato casserole.
“I was doing too many things,” Johnson said. “And being able to do Same-Day Delivery on a casserole dish, which seems like an obvious thing to go out and grab, was amazing.”
