ATP Challenger Tour Prize Money Rises to Record $28.5M by 2025

The ATP announced a record $28.5 million in prize money for the ATP Challenger Tour for the 2025 season – up $6.2 million year-on-year and 135 percent from 2022. strategy – to increase the number of players who can make a sustainable living from tennis.

The main driver of the increase in prize money was the formation of Tennis Data Innovations (TDI) and the successful trading of the Challenger Tour rights. The development of the calendar has helped to drive growth, with the introduction of premium Challenger 175 events and an increase in the number of top class Challenger 100 and 125 events.

Under OneVision, the ATP has established a dedicated Challenger Tour team with new leadership to focus on growth and new revenue opportunities. A significant investment in advertising, headlined by the launch of the Challenger Tour’s ‘On The Rise’ brand campaign, played a key role in enhancing the tour’s visibility and commercial appeal.

ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi he said: “Creating a sustainable pathway for players to the ATP Tour is important for the future of our game. Starting in 2022, we have invested in significant changes to the Challenger Tour. The results have been clear: record prize money, increasing year on year and most importantly, more players within the Top 250 are being offered greater financial compensation at this level.”
