RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Wednesday vowed to ensure the credibility of the central bank going forward. In his first press conference as RBI Governor, Mahotra promised to ensure stability in the economy and monetary policy.
He also said that the effort will be to preserve the legacy of RBI.
Earlier on Wednesday, Malhotra took over as the 26th RBI Governor, taking over from Shaktikanta Das who stepped down a day earlier.
