Suspected UnitedHealthcare killer has ‘bad appetite for corporate America,’ police say
Veteran law enforcement attorney Joseph Impertrice reacts to the arrest of suspected UnitedHealthcare shooter Luigi Mangione and says DNA and cell phone evidence will play a big role in the case moving forward.
Luigi Mangione, the suspect arrested in the slaying of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, left behind documents that showed he was “interested in American business,” police said. He is said to have targeted a health insurance company.
When asked at a press conference about the handwritten note found on Mangione’s person when he was arrested in Pennsylvania on Monday, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told the media, “We don’t think there is a specific threat to the other people mentioned in that note. , but he seems to have a bad appetite for American business.”
In an interview with “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Kenny said he had read the document himself and said Mangione “shows that he is frustrated with the health care system in the United States.”
