Robert Redford’s California oasis is listed for $4.15 million

The way things used to be isn’t the way things are for Robert Redford, who has put his San Francisco Bay resort on the market for $4.15 million.

Redford, 88, spends a lot of time at his New Mexico home where he lives with his wife, landscape artist Sibylle Szaggars, and found it a good opportunity to list the property in Tiburon, California, which is only nine miles from San Francisco and the city. The Golden Gate Bridge.

“Sadly, we cannot spend as much time in Tiburon as we would like, as we now spend more time in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Sibylle is creating new art there and focusing on her art gallery, Sibylle. Szaggars Redford Fine Art,” Redford said.

Built on the water, the property is about 3,000 square meters, and has 10 rooms. Both the interior and exterior have been recently remodeled, including multiple outdoor living areas.

“We made cosmetic changes to the interior to lighten things up and create a more coastal feel inside. We also like to spend time outside, so we enhanced the outdoor gardens and grounds, creating an inviting flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces,” said Redford.

“We love Mediterranean gardens and Tiburon’s climate is perfect for plants like lavender, jasmine and succulents, all water-smart plants that now grace outdoor spaces at home.”

Redford said he and his wife are very happy with the home’s location.

“We have a long history and love the town of Tiburon, as we had other homes in the area. We have always loved the fact that one can walk to many places, not only shops and restaurants, but also hiking trails. Open space is nearby,” he said.
