Hitchins (19-0, 7KOs) looks like he’s carved in stone and his body is cut like a statue. In contrast, Paro (25-0, 15 KOs) did not look well-trained and had dark circles under both eyes, suggesting he had a restless night, perhaps worried about the dangerous fight ahead.

Paro, 28, cannot lose in this fight because he has a big money match with his fellow Aussie, George Kambosos, who will be run as the next match if he wins.

“It’s a difficult time. Talking is done. I’m ready to go in and do the show,” said Liam Paro after the weigh-in.

“This is good. I am world class. My talent is nowhere else. If I was fighting any kind of different competition, it would be bullying,” said Richardson Hitchins.

“I have to fight the best guys in the world, because the fans will be calling anyway. I want to thank Eddie Hearn for giving me this opportunity. There are no easy fights to reach the world title. I found my way to the world title.

β€œIt wasn’t like I was the #2 or #3 guy and Eddie called me and asked if I would like to fight for the world title. I had to find my place, and that’s what I did. To the fans out there, I’m finally here. I’m finally in the tournament, and tomorrow night, we’re going to play really well and I’m going to continue to show the world what got me here. That I’m an all-around great fighter,” Hitchins said.
