Ted Danson called Kristen Bellher husband, Dax Shepardafter watching his hot kiss with Adam Brody to Nobody Wants This.
In an interview with Netflix on Wednesday, December 4, Danson, 76, was asked about her favorite scene from any of the talk shows, and she replied, “My favorite Netflix moment is Kristen Bell Nobody Wants This kissing Adam Brody. It was so true – it scared me. “
Danson decided to call Shepard, 49, to vent.
“I said, ‘Bud, can you do something about this? It shakes me. It looks real,’” he laughed. “But still, it’s not like that. It’s just that they’re both smart players.”
The hit TV series, which premiered in September, centers on an unlikely relationship between a mute, atheist woman (played by Bell) and an eccentric rabbi (played by Brody). Nobody Wants This received praise from critics and fans alike for the strong chemistry shown between Bell and Brody.
After the show took the internet by storm, Shepard shared his thoughts on his wife’s new scene partner.
“We watched that scene together, the kiss scene, which I would argue is the best kiss scene ever put on film,” Shepard shared at the New Yorker Festival in September. “And my best friend, Aaron, since childhood, goes, ‘Does he ever kiss you like that?’ No, I didn’t even know he could kiss like this.”
Shepard joked that she now has competition when it comes to her chemistry with Bell, 44, adding, “[It is] he’s not as good as him and Brody.”
Bell also opened up about building an on-screen connection with her husband Brody, 44 Leighton Meester.
“Even I would be willing to look at it, like, ‘Wow, it’s hot,'” he told i-talk before the September premiere. “My husband says the same thing. Like, watching the first episode she was like, ‘Oh, my God, I want you to kiss her so hard.’
Bell continued: “I’m not trying to downplay it, but I think there’s some math to it. You have two actors who know how to look into each other’s eyes, and you have to have the courage to increase that and stay the expected amount before the kiss, which I think is very important. “
