Is Fury-Usyk 2 Undercard The WORST In Heavyweight Title Fight History?
The undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2 has received a lot of criticism from fans for not showing the quality of fights that a non-British fan is interested in watching on December 21.
The only fight on the entire five-fight undercard that features world-class fighters with title potential is this one:
– Serhii Bohachuk vs. Israel Madrimov
Where are the Stars?
This fight is the ONLY one on the undercard that attracts boxing fans. Understandably, promoters want to include undercards and fighters that will drive PPV sales in their countries.
They also want to help promote these guys to sell to the local community to turn them into ticket sellers, but nobody on the undercard is going anywhere without having a job that’s rocking at the local level like the junk food entertainment that it is. immediately forget the followers after that,
Disappointing undercard fights
– Moses Itauma vs. Demsey McKean
– Johnny Fisher vs. Dave Allen
– Dennis McCann vs. Peter McGrail
– Isaac Lowe vs. Lee McGregor
I consider these fighters to be scrappy and unfit to be on the Honorable Turki Alalshikh December 21st card, as it gives fans outside of the UK NO compulsion to watch. These are not fights American fans want to watch. None of this is worth watching in my opinion, and none of it is interesting.
It is not clear if the promoters have spoken to Turki and asked him to put these fights on his card or if he wants them. I honestly don’t believe he would knowingly ask for any of these fights to be included in his December 21 event, and for obvious reasons. All low level fights that don’t gather interest.
The Turkish would be doing the fans a huge favor if he sweeps these four low-profile fights behind him and puts in two or three solid fights featuring talents to watch.
Better Wars
– Martin Bakole vs. Lawrence Okole
– Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis vs. Devin Haney
– Jose ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela vs. Teofimo Lopez
– Raymond Muratalla vs. Keyshawn Davis
– Eduardo ‘Sugar’ Nunez vs. O’Shaquie Foster
