Musk says SpaceX can send 5 unmanned asteroids to Mars in 2 years

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said in a social media post Sunday that his space company plans to launch five idle Starships to Mars in two years, although one of his biggest concerns is the growing government he says is interfering with the Starship program.

Musk posted on social media X – one of his companies – about the future of visiting Mars.

“SpaceX plans to launch as many as five unmanned Starships to Mars in two years,” he wrote. “If all those countries live safely, the work of the workers can happen in four years. If we meet challenges, the work of the workers will be postponed for another two years.”

The billionaire businessman explained in his post that it is only possible to travel from Earth to Mars when the planets align every two years, making the task very difficult.

Musk also enlightened the world with his vision of a Mars mission, which would eventually lead to making the Red Planet a tourist destination.

“Regardless of the success of the landing, SpaceX will increase the number of spacecraft to Mars significantly with every possible transit,” he wrote. “We want to empower anyone who wants to be an astronaut to go to Mars! That means you or your family or friends – anyone who wants a great adventure.

“Eventually, there will be thousands of stars going to Mars, and it will be [be] What a glorious sight to behold! Can you imagine? Wow,” he added.

Fox News has reached out to Space X for further comment.

Musk’s vision includes making sure that humanity has more planets continuously before a catastrophic event, such as a nuclear war or a super virus, on Earth prevents that from happening.

“One of my biggest concerns right now is that the Starship program is getting bogged down by a mountain of government bureaucracy that grows every year,” Musk wrote on X. “These disturbing red documents affect every major project in America, which is why, for example, California has spent 7 billion dollars and several years on a high-speed rail line, but has only 1600 ft of concrete to show for it!”

Musk, who endorsed former President Trump for another four years in the Oval Office, said he has many concerns about Vice President Harris becoming president. “His absolute showstopper,” he said, “is the current ruling party that is strangling America to death,” Musk added, adding that it will grow under another Democratic Party administration.

“This will destroy the Mars system and kill humanity,” Musk wrote. “It won’t happen.”

Musk predicted this month that his company would conduct the first manned flights to Mars in four years, adding that the idea of establishing a sustainable human settlement on the Red Planet within 20 years was out of the question.
