Cheryl Hines Celebrates Her Birthday With Kids After RFK Jr. Scandal

“Me and my girls 🥳,” Hines wrote via Instagram Story on Saturday, September 21, sharing a photo with daughter Catherine and stepdaughter Kyra.

Hines stunned in a long-sleeved, white turtleneck blouse with her hair tied in a bun. Catherine, Hines’ daughter by a previous husband Paul Youngand Kyra, Kennedy’s daughter from his previous marriage Mary Richardson Kennedythe black twin.

The trio were pictured at a special birthday dinner in Milan, where they attended the spring/summer 2025 fashion week shows.

Catherine also posted an Instagram photo of Reduce Your Enthusiasm alum blowing out the candles at the birthday dessert.

“Happy birthday to the best mom,” Catherine wrote on Saturday. “I really don’t know how I got so lucky.”

Hines’ husband, 70-year-old Kennedy, did not attend the celebration, instead taking part in the campaign. Donald Trump in Las Vegas that night.

Hines and Kennedy have been married since 2014, ten years before the politician was accused of having an inappropriate “personal relationship” with a journalist.

Thursday, September 19, New York Magazine announced that they had placed a Washington reporter Olivia Nuzzi on leave after he failed to disclose his relationship with Kennedy. (Nuzzi previously replaced him in the magazine.)

“He is currently taking a break from the magazine, and the magazine is carefully exploring other things. We regret this violation of the trust of our students,” said the magazine’s statement.

Once again New York Magazine or Nuzzi named Kennedy publicly in the statement, but CNN and The New York Times both reported that the subject was Kennedy. In a statement to The Times, Nuzzi denied having a physical relationship with Kennedy.

“I did not directly report on this issue and I did not use it as a source. “The relationship was never physical but it had to be disclosed to prevent the appearance of conflict,” said Nuzzi in his statement. “I deeply regret not doing so sooner and I apologize to those I have disappointed, especially my colleagues at the institute. New York.”

Nuzzi’s boyfriend, a reporter for Politico Ryan Lizzahas called off their engagement. Kennedy, on the other hand, denied this connection.

“Mr. “Kennedy met Olivia Nuzzi only once in his life for an interview that she requested, and it had great results,” his spokesperson told NBC News in a Friday, September 20, statement.
