Travis Kelce Saw Kid Fall From The Stands And ‘Kept Walking’

Travis Kelce facing his Kansas City Chiefs counterpart Tershawn Wharton‘heroic act during the Chiefs’ season on Sunday, November 24, against the Carolina Panthers.

Wharton went viral over the weekend after he was filmed holding a young fan who fell from the bleachers while trying to greet the victorious Chiefs following their 30-27 victory over the Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On the Wednesday, November 27, episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Travis and my brother Jason Kelce praised Wharton for his quick thinking as the little boy tumbled over the bleachers toward the players’ tunnel.

“Play the game from Tershawn Wharton,” Jason, 37, said on the podcast, via TalkSport.

Travis, 35, on the other hand, admitted that he saw the moment happen.

“I saw this and continued… I was sad after that,” said the Chiefs’ brother. “I was on the left and I was like, ‘Oh s—. Did you find him, Turk? Yeah yeah, Turk got him!’”

Travis went on to joke that the little guy should “sue the Panthers.”

“I don’t know who this genius is who cut the line there. “What do you mean gap?” he said. “He should go to school with a belt around his neck and sue the Panthers. Get rich quick, kid.”

“Shout out to Turk for making sure the little guy is okay,” he concluded on a very serious note.

Wharton, 26, talked about his championship defense on the Tuesday, November 26, episode of ESPN’s. Pat McAfee Show.

“I would say it’s a natural reaction,” he said, per TODAY.com. “I heard my name a little bit and when I heard my name I saw him coming down. I had to put him in the stands a little bit to make sure he didn’t hit too much.”

“When I grabbed him from behind his back, I was like pushing him into the stands a little bit,” he added.

Wharton said he had not met the boy but invited them to meet in the future.

“I have never [met him] but I like to reach out to him, include him in the game, I can meditate with him a little if I can,” he said.
