Sony might make another handheld console
While the PlayStation Portal offered a way to play PS5 games remotely, it wasn’t a stand-alone feature. In fact, it’s been about 14 years since the PS Vita came out, and now, according to a report that comes out Bloombergthe company is developing another portable console that can play games on the device, as well as any cloud-based/remote gaming tricks.
The report cites unnamed sources, and Sony is not commenting. But as the Nintendo Switch proved that there is still a desire for handheld consoles, the boom in portable PCs, such as the Standeck, may have encouraged a second look.
As the report notes, smartphones (augmented by controller peripherals) are dominating mobile gaming and have proven to be a great motivator for gaming on the go.
