“That was an experiment. I would almost fall asleep, in the middle of contractions just to try to be like, ‘Okay, I’m just going to try to sleep through it so I’m going crazy next contraction.’ It’s your most raw animalistic way,” he recalled, noting that Payne was “exciting” me all the time.

Lawrence and Payne are also parents to a 4-year-old son, Alpha, who they also welcomed at home. Lawrence previously called Alpha a “miracle” baby, revealing on Instagram in 2020 that he had to be raised by their midwife.

“Secondly, because he knew what to expect, [Payne] he was also on top and not worried about everything else,” said Lawrence as well. “My son got stuck, which is very common, especially when you’re cutting fast. The same thing happened the second time, but the difference was my new midwife just let me trust my body and wait for the contraction. That’s what could have happened the first time, but it didn’t.”

In this regard, Lawrence said that he is “a part of everything” this time.

“No one intervened, even though he was a bit stuck, we just pushed and did it,” he said. “I hope that so many women will experience this birth of liberation.”

Lawrence called it “everything I wanted it to be.”

After welcoming child 2, Lawrence teamed up with Elvie to promote their Stride 2 breast pump, which “impressed” the model – and made her life easier.

“I never expected that pumping would be such a big part of my life. I told myself that breastfeeding would come easily,” he explained Us. When Lawrence welcomed her son during Covid, she “felt alone and depressed” so Elvie’s pump came to the rescue.

“The double pump gave me the confidence to go out and do the things I wanted to do,” she said. “Continue with the things I needed to do at home, but I can dedicate myself to giving my son milk, and seeing it as important to me because breastfeeding was very difficult.”

Lawrence kept all of her breast pumps before her daughter was born, but she didn’t know what to expect.

“Every child is different,” he said, adding that it was a joy to connect with Elvie’s team. “I like what they stand for. I love that they are empowering women through technology made by women. I heard about Stride 2 and as soon as I used it, I was like, ‘Okay wait. This is amazing.’”

The pump itself can “connect to anything you’re wearing” so new moms can go out in public.

“It really helped me create this incredibly powerful ingredient, which makes me feel relaxed, less stressed,” added Lawrence. “This time around, it’s been great to have the dual pump option that I’ve always used, and then this new Stride 2 that’s my main pump. It kept my supply high.”
